The new Transformers movie has finally gotten its full title and it’s just a “side” away from classic rock. The third outing for the battling robots will be called Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.

TFW2005 first discovered the title through the listing of some upcoming movie tie-in novels on Amazon.com:

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Secret of the Autobots
Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Autobots Betrayed!
Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Invasion of the Decepticons

Apparently part of the plot this time takes place during the 1960s space race between the US and USSR. It will also feature lots of robots beating the living crap out of one another and humans running around frantically.

The Michael Bay directed movie, which is in 3D this time is released July 1, 2011, and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Alan Tudyk, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, and John Malkovich.
