So The Hangover 2 is a go with the original main trio returning to their roles for the sequel to last summer surprise comedy hit.

Rumours have abounded concerning the possible plot and more specifically locations for the guys next outing, but director Todd Phillips was quick to shoot down any talk of Thailand: “I don’t know. There’s a lot of rumours. There was rumour also that it was going to Mexico or something and neither are true.”

With the original movie making almost $500 million at the box-office and scooping a Golden Globe it was almost inevitable that a sequel would be made. Each of the central 3, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, are set to make $5 million a piece and with their initial reluctance to sign-on I hope that they’re not just in it for the payday.

Shooting begins this summer for a probable May 2011 release.

Very interesting to see if they can come up some more original ideas. We don’t want to see the same jokes as in the first film, sometimes they seem to spoil comedies with sequels, lets hope this is a good one!
