Variety is reporting that Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster
has found his next project, an adaptation of the Robert Ludlum thriller The Chancellor Manuscript.

Screenwriter Peter O’Brien will adapt the fictional book which centres on the death of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover and asks whether it was natural causes or something more sinister.

A group of high-placed intellectuals see Hoover’s private files as a threat to the country and decide that the best way forward is to bump of old J. Edgar. When a best-selling writer Peter Chancellor stumbles onto their scheme he quickly realises that the truth is infinitely more exciting and dangerous than his novels.

Leonardo DiCaprio is producing the movie with an eye on starring as Chancellor. Look for this to be a very big release very soon.

Hey, just to let you know that I nominated you for a Kreativ Blog Award, which is a viral/spam thing – kind of a pass-it-on kudos for your good work (the particulars are over on my site). Anyway, keep up the good work – you’re probably the best Irish film news site on the web.
