New UK poster for Scott Frank's A Walk Among the Tombstones

Liam Neeson has really cemented himself as a bad-ass in the public conscience and this latest poster for Scott Frank’s A Walk Amongst the Tombstones is further evidence of that. The poster itself is a mess of bad photoshop, but you’ll have to admit Neeson does look bad-ass in black-and-white.

The film sees the Ballymena star as a former detective, and recovering alcoholic, working as an unlicenced private detective, and attempting to solve a series of kidnappings.

Director Scott Frank, who’s best known for writing Minority Report, is on dual duties here having penned the script. And he’s assembled a fine cast to complement Neeson, with Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens joining, Boyd Holbrook , Sebastian Roché, and the ever watchable Ruth Wilson.

A Walk Amongst the Tombstones is out in Irish cinemas on September 19th.

Formerly a detective with the NYPD, now a recovering alcoholic haunted by regrets, Matt Scudder has a lot to make up for. When a series of kidnappings targeting the city’s worst drug criminals escalates to grisly murder, the circuit’s ruthless leader convinces Scudder to find the culprits and bring them to bloody justice. Working as an unlicensed private detective, Matt sees what the police don’t see and treads where they most fear to. Operating just outside the law to track down the monsters responsible, Scudder stops just short of becoming one himself.
