Irish in Film: Pre-production begins on John Moore’s I.T. starring Pierce Brosnan

Pre-production has begun on Dundalk director John Moore’s newest film I.T., starring Navan native Pierce Brosnan.

The film sees Brosnan play a successful businessman, who was once a thug in his youth but has since changed his ways. He discovers that his company’s new I.T. employee is actually a dangerous madman who’s out to destroy the businessman and his family.

The film is Moore’s first since the underwhelming A Good Day To Die Hard, and sees him team up with Terminator 2: Judgment Day writer William Wisher and Timber Falls writer Daniel Kay, on a story idea from Little Miss Sunshine co-producer David Friendly. The latter’s production company Friendly Films is behind the venture, with Voltage shopping the film at the recent American Film Market.

There’s no word yet on other cast members, but with shooting soon to get underway expect to hear about them soon.
