For those familiar with American football the NFL draft are amongst the most interesting three days in sport. For those unfamiliar it is when the newest batch of college recruits become selectable by the teams in the league, who pick based on their position of the previous season. Worst picks first, giving that team the best chance of turning their fortunes around the following season. It’s such a big deal in the world of NFL that it has become an event in its own right. And now Summit Pictures and Ivan Reitman are basing a movie around it, imaginatively titled Draft Day. And here are 4 clips from it!

The film sees Kevin Costner play the General Manager of the Cleveland Browns, who after trading for the number 1 pick must figure out how to use this to its ultimate advantage, while dealing with personal issues back home.

The film also stars Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary, Josh Pence, Chadwick Boseman, Sean Combs, Sam Elliott, Terry Crews, Arian Foster, Ellen Burstyn, and Frank Langella.

Draft Day opens in the US on April 11th, with no Irish release date as of yet.
