Warner Bros has sent us over a new featurette for the newest film in the Rocky franchise, Creed. The featurette sees writer/director Ryan Coogler talk about the making of the film.

The film follows Adonis “Donnie” Johnson, the illegitimate son of Rocky Balboa’s foe-turned-friend Apollo Creed. Donnie heads to Philadelphia to seek out Balboa, and ask him to be his trainer. With Rocky in his corner, it isn’t long before Adonis gets his own shot at the title…but can he develop not only the drive but also the heart of a true fighter, in time to get into the ring?

Director Coogler, who previously directed the great indie film Fruitvale Station, has signed on to direct Marvel’s Black Panther, on the strength of his work here. Stallone won a Golden Globe for his return as Rocky, and has just picked up an Oscar nomination. He is joined by rising star Michael B. Jordan as Donnie,  Phylicia Rashad, Graham McTavish, and Tessa Thompson.

Creed is out now in cinemas, and we’ve given it 4 stars.
