Next Saturday, April 19th, is Record Store Day, an internationally celebrated day dedicated to the culture of the independently owned record store. To celebrate the Light House Cinema in Dublin’s Smithfield is hosting a special screening of the wonderfully quotable 1995 cult classic Empire Records.

For anyone that is unfamilar with the film (and shame on you if you are) it focuses on the lives of a group of record store employees as they prepare and suffer through Rex Manning day!

The film was directed by Allan Moyle and stars an incredible lineup, that includes Anthony LaPaglia, Robin Tunney, Rory Cochrane, Renée Zellweger, Ethan Embry, Johnny Whitworth and Liv Tyler.

Empire Records will be shown in the Light House on Saturday, April 19th and 10:30pm. Get your tickets now and save the Empire!
