On Wednesday, January 27th Reckoner Productions will host the official launch for their funding campaign and the release of the official proof of concept trailer for their new feature film An Ceann Deirenach (The Last One).

The night will see a screening of short films chosen by Eamonn Tutty and Alan Dunne of Reckoner, and our managing editor Niall Murphy. At the end of the night Reckoner will screen the trailer and present their campaign.

Shorts selected include Gerard Walsh’s brilliant SolitaireVideo Nasty, a short horror film written & directed by Richard Waters, Bridge To Kindness directed and written by Stephen Gibson, Ruth Looney’s award-winning Waiting for Tom, Stephen Brady’s very clever Normal, and Smart Blonde Productions touching I Am Jesus.

Entry is €8. Almost €800 worth of prizes will be raffled off on the night, including a €200 voucher for Film Equipment Hire, a showreel package put together by Alan Dunne of Reckoner Productions, a placement on Terry McMahon’s acting course for next term and drinks prizes courtesy of Sams Bar on Dawson Street, and many more.

Reckoner hope the night will also serve as a networking event for film makers and actors. The event takes place from 7.30pm in Hangar, Andrew’s Lane, Dublin 2.
