#Event: French web series and wine reception hosted by Dub Web Fest

Dublin Web Fest, Ireland’s first celebration of online storytelling approach their third edition in November and since 2015 it has been showcasing big screen international creative online series with an Irish grounding and a quirky French touch.

While submissions roll in and the team prepares for #DWF2017, the festival will showcase a range of French web series this Tuesday, May 30th in the newly refurbished French Library at the Alliance Francaise in Kildare St, Dublin and the event is absolutely free.

The programme will include the “creme de la creme” of French online storytelling, series which have screened previously at the Dub Web Fest and other festivals around the world.

“Kill Skills”, a thriller which won Best Director and Best French series at DWF in 2016, is a gripping story about the French mafia. “Surf  Therapy”, winner of numerous awards, deals with cultural differences when a London teenager moves to Morocco for surf camp. For the animation fans there is the frantic animated web series “Zozo” about a space explorer. Also screening are the series “Authentik” and “Gabriel” among others. All series will have English subtitles.

The French Touch proves to be an interesting event for film fans especially anyone with an interest in French cinema and a curiosity as to whats happening today in digital entertainment.

The screening starts at 7.30pm but there will be a wine and canapé reception in true French style at 6.30pm so get there early to avoid thirst!
