Two TV spots for Burke & Hare

Entertainment Film have released two new TV spots for John Landis’ Burke & Hare, starring Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis.

The movie is based on the true story of two 19th Scottish grave-robbers,who discovered that they could make a mint by digging up corpses and selling them to the Edinburgh Medical College. In all they sold 17 corpses before their macabre work was uncovered by the police.

Burke & Hare is Landis’ first directorial charge in over 10 years and it’s great to see the creator of An American Werewolf in London back in the chair. In addition to Messrs. Pegg and Serkis and Miss Fisher the film stars Tim Curry, Tom Wilkinson, Stephen Merchant and a host of other British thespians.

The film is out October 29th.

Burke & Hare is based on the true story of two 19th century graverobbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school.The film is the latest project from director John Landis (American Werewolf in London, The Blues Brothers) and stars Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) as William Burke and Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings) as William Hare, with a supporting cast that includes Isla Fisher (Confessions of a Shopaholic) as Ginny, an ambitious young actress and Burke’s love interest, and Jessica Hynes (Spaced) as Hare’s haggard and suffering wife, Lucky.
