Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the US trailer for writer-director Xavier Dolan’s Cannes Film Festival winning Mommy.
The film, which is Canada’s official entry for Best Foreign Language film at the Oscars, tells the story of a single mom and her potentially violent son, struggling to survive one another. Things change when a mysterious neighbour enters their lives.
The film stars Anne Dorval, Antoine-Olivier Pilon, Suzanne Clement, Alexandre Goyette, and Patrick Huard.
Mommy is expected out in Ireland early next year.
A feisty widowed single mom finds herself burdened with the full-time custody of her unpredictable 15-year-old ADHD son. As they struggle to make ends meet, Kyla, the peculiar new neighbor across the street, offers her help. Together, they find a new sense of balance, and hope is regained.
