Blade director Stephen Norrington has signed on to write and direct Legendary Pictures’ supernatural action thriller The Lost Patrol.
The film is a supernatural action thriller set against the backdrop of World War II. The original spec script was written by Andrew Hilton, but has since been reworked by Matt Cirulnick before landing on Norris’ desk.
Norrington is quoted as saying that the movie “hits all of my geek-buttons: hardware, heroes, grime, insane monsters.” And the director expects to get going after completing his current reworking of The Crow.
Blade was a decent action film, but subsequent work like The League of Extraordinary Gentleman has not been up to scratch. Here’s hoping that this new film will rekindle his initial promise.
