US distributor IFC Films has released the first clip from Peter Strickland’s third feature film The Duke of Burgundy. Strickland last gave us the brilliant Berberian Sound System in 2012, and this has been garnering great reviews on the festival circuit.
The film centres on a woman who studies butterflies and moths as she tests the limits of her relationship with her lover.
The film stars Borgen‘s Sidse Babett Knudsen, as well as Chiara D’Anna, Eugenia Caruso, Monica Swinn, Fatma Mohamed, and Eszter Tompa.
The film plays the London Film Festival next month and will be out in Ireland early next year.
