Two new clips for Ned Benson's The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby

The Weinstein Company, via IndieWire, has released two clips for Ned Benson’s The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.

It’s the story of a relationship, that features a life changing event that threatens the stability of their marriage.

Jessica Chastain stars as Eleanor, and James McAvoy as Conor. The film also stars Bill Hader, Viola Davis, William Hurt, Ciaran Hinds, Isabelle Huppert, and Jess Weixler.

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby has three different version, one for Him, one for Her and one for Them. The one for Them screened in Un Certain Regard at Cannes and is the version that will show in cinemas first. Him and Her screened at Toronto last September and will follow on limited release. The US gets the film in September, but we’ll likely have it closer to Christmas.

Once happily married, Conor (McAvoy) and Eleanor (Chastain) suddenly find themselves as strangers longing to understand each other in the wake of tragedy. The film explores the couple’s story as they try to reclaim the life and love they once knew and pick up the pieces of a past that may be too far gone.
