The first trailer for Marvels Avengers Assemble  has landed, and it’s every bit as epic as you’d hoped it would be. This gives us our first fleeting glimpses at the all-star line-up of Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, and more.

Based on the bestselling marvel comic series of the same title the movie sees the headliners of Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger  assembling to form one super team of superheroes. The threat…unknown, but it must be pretty badass if it needs this much firepower to stop it.

The movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, and Samuel L. Jackson, alongside newcomers to the Marvel universe Mark Ruffalo, who replaces Ed Norton as Bruce Banner and Cobie Smulders as S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Maria Hill.  Behind the camera lies Joss Whedon, the legendary creator of Buffy and Firefly, and all-round geek hero.

Marvels Avengers Assemble hits screens on May 4th, 2012.

Looks more like "Iron Man and his Amazing Friends." But then, I do like Robert Downey Jr. Especially that final jab at the Hulk.

Looking forward to it, I must say.
