Last week we were treated to a new UK poster for Tamara Drewe, the Gemma Arterton starrer based in a weekly comic strip based on Thomas Hardy’s Far From the Madding Crowd. Last night we got another treat in the shape of a new US poster for the project.
It seems that the marketing people seem very fond of that pose that depicts Arterton in a pair of skimpy denim shorts leaning against a fence…and who can blame them.
The movie sees Arterton, a journalist in London, return to her country roots after the death of her mother. Here she encounters old boyfriends, lost chances and a simpler way of life.
It might just end up being rather good. We’ll find out September 10th.
