Paul Bettany must have liked working with Scott Stewart on Legion, and vice versa as the pair have now teamed up once again. This time another supernatural tale with a touch of the heavenly but instead of featuring avengeing angels it features a post-apocalyptic wasteland where the church rules what’s left of humanity after a centuries-long war against the vampires. Cheery stuff.

Based on Min-Woo Hying’s graphic novel of the same name, Priest sees Bettany don the cloak of a religous warrior known simply as Priest. The pictures paint a nice visual for the movie that seems to have drawn heavily on the source material (which is no bad thing).

The movie has an expected May/June 2011 release in Ireland and the UK. Here’s hoping that it’ll be better than Legion.
