#IrishDirector: John Moore to direct terrorist-themed thriller N.O.C.

The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that Dundalk-born director John Moore has lined up his next gig with the terrorist-themed thriller N.O.C..

The film, which is written by Dave Matalon and Daniel Scott Gordon, follows CIA operative Alek, who discovers that a faction of the agency is actively collaborating with the terrorist cell he was sent to infiltrate. Stuck in a hospital in Berlin, Alek teams up with Corinne, an emergency medical technician who saved his life, to try and find evidence of the conspiracy.

N.O.C. will be produced by Gabriela Bacher for Film House Germany’s Summerstorm Entertainment, in association with Navid McIlhargey of Vandal Entertainment, and Marina Grasic of Cargo Entertainment. John Moore, Peter Veverka, Christian Angermayer, and Klemens Hallmann will executive produce.

Speaking on the news Bacher and McIlhargey described the film as:

N.O.C. is a complex, brain-twisting thriller, a bold, ?hard-edged story, ripped from the headlines. And John Moore is the creative force for this kind of character-driven action film with an enthralling political undercurrent.

Filming is scheduled for late summer in Berlin. Moore is obviously a fan of the acronym based thrillers as his current project, the Pierce Brosnan-starring I.T., is currently seeking distribution at the Marché du Film in Cannes. Radiant Films International/Cargo Entertainment are handling sales for N.O.C. at the Marché.
