Universal Pictures has released the first trailer and poster for the movie version of Ireland’s most popular comedy export Mrs. Brown’s Boys, the uniquely titled Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie.
When Moore Street market-trader Agnes Brown finds her livelihood under threat from a ruthless developer, she and her family embark on a campaign to save her stall, aided as only the Browns will be by a motley troop of blind trainee Ninjas, an alcoholic solicitor, and a barrister with Tourettes Syndrome.
The TV show cast are all set for the big screen adventure with Brendan O’Carroll playing the titular Irish mammy, and Fiona O’Carroll, Jennifer Gibney, Eilish O’Carroll, and Rory Cowan all featuring. The show’s director Ben Kellett makes his big screen debut, working form a script penned by O’Carroll himself.
Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie is in cinemas 27 June, 2014.
