First poster and trailer for Limitless

Relativity Media has released the first trailer and poster for Limitless, the new action thriller starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. The trailer looks pretty good, the poster not so much. It’s one of those lazy three scenes from the movie on a white background efforts that have become so common recently. Shame.

The film centres on a struggling writer, played by Cooper, who takes a special drug that allows him to utilize his entire mental capacity. De Niro is a business man, who would like to use Copper’s now limitless potential for his own personal gain.

The Illusionist director Neil Burger is the man behind the camera working of a script by Pay It Forward writer Leslie Dixon, which is in turn based on the book by Alan Glynn. Joining De Niro and Copper are Abbie Cornish and Anna Friel.

Limitless will be released in Ireland March 18th.

Synopsis:

Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) is an unemployed writer whose girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish) breaks up with him. Eddie believes he has no future, but when a friend introduces him to the experimental drug MDT, Eddie becomes highly focused and highly confident. He is able to recall everything he has read, heard or seen, and he uses the knowledge to become successful in the financial world. Business mogul Carl Van Loon (Robert De Niro) sees Eddie as a potential tool to make money, but Eddie’s success also attracts hitmen who pursue him for the MDT. Eddie’s stash dwindles, causing him side effects, as he tries to escape being assassinated.
