Hoodwinked! was a passable animated take on the classic children’s fairytale Red Riding Hood. It didn’t do enough business nor was it critically successful enough to merit a sequel, but we are getting one anyway. To prove this Weinstein Co. has released a trailer for Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil.
This time round Red is training in the group of Sister Hoods, when she and the Wolf are called to examine the sudden mysterious disappearance of Hansel and Gretel. Oh believe me Sier Hoods is the first of many bad puns to permeate this one…
The sequel replaces Anne Hathaway with Hayden Panettiere as the voice of Red, with Glenn Close and Patrick Warburton returning in their roles of Granny and The Big Bad Wolf respectively. Bill Hader, Joan Cusack, Amy Poehler, Brad Garrett and Cheech Marin add flavour to the tale.
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil is out in the States April 29th. No word on an Irish release as of yet.
