20th Century Fox has released the trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s 3D computer-animated buddy comedy film Home.
The film is based on the 2007 Adam Rex’s children’s book The True Meaning of Smekday and sees an overly optimistic, yet inept, alien race named the Boov, led by Captain Smek, invade Earth to hide from their mortal enemy and make it a new home.This leads to the rehoming the inhabitants of Earth until one of them makes their enemy aware of where they are hiding…
Over the Hedge director Tim Johnson leads the film, which features the voices of Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Steve Martin.
Home is out worldwide on March 27th 2015.
When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated, while all Boov get busy reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip (Rihanna), manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons). The two fugitives realize there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime.
