The Weinstein Company acquires US rights for the Jack Reynor starring HHhH

The Weinstein Company has acquired the US rights to Cedric Jimenez’s HHhH, a WWII-set drama about the rise and fall of Reinhard Heydrich, the Nazi leader that Hitler called “the man with the iron heart.”

Irish star Jack Reynor stars in the film, alongside fellow rising star Jack O’Connell as two British paratroopers sent to assassinate Jason Clarke’s Heydrich. Rosamund Pike and Mia Wasikowska play Heydrich’s wife Lina, and a Czech resistance fighter respectively.

The film is based on Laurent Binet’s debut novel of the same name, with the screenplay adapted by David Farr, Audrey Diwan and Jimenez. The film is produced by Alain Goldman of Légende Films and Daniel Crown of Red Crown. FilmNation holds the international sales rights and has been shopping the film since Cannes.

HHhH is currently shooting in Budapest for a 2016 release.
