Two clips from Hanna have emerged showing the teen assassin in action. The first features an interview of Saoirse Ronan’s Hanna which is being monitored and controlled by a CIA agent, played by Cate Blanchett. The second is an action clip that shows Ronan fleeing captivity with a dash of the Chemical Brothers soundtrack and an energising strobe light effect. It’s a very different feel from Ronan’s last outing with director Joe Wright, Atonement.
Hanna tells the story of a 16-year-old assassin, trained by her father to be the ultimate killing machine, who is dispatched on a mission and is forced to flee an intelligence agent across Europe.
Eric Bana stars as Ronan’s dad, with Blanchett, Tom Hollander, Olivia Williams, and Michelle Dockery making up the rest of an impressive cast.
Hanna is released in Ireland May 6th.

Award-winning director Joe Wright creates a boldly original suspense thriller with HANNA, starring Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones, Atonement) in the title role.
Raised by her father (Eric Bana of Star Trek), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna’s upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.
