It’s only been a few days since the first official poster for Gulliver’s Travels was released and now 20th Century Fox has followed up by releasing the first official trailer. And well it looks a bit shit.

Jack Black stars as Lemuel Gulliver, a travel writer, who through the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, finds himself washed ashore on Lilliput, a land populated with tiny people and were he is a giant. The premise, which sees Jonathan Swift‘s satrical fable transposed into a modern setting, should be good for a few laughs, but if the movie has any then the trailer sure as hell forgot to include them.

Director Rob Letterman showed some good comic sensibilities with his last outing, the animated Monsters vs Aliens, and Emily Blunt, Billy Connolly and Jason Segal all can bring the yucks so hopefully this won’t be as bad as I think it will be.

It’s released December 22nd, and it’ll be in 3D!

Love Jack Black, but was surprised to hear that he was cast in this. Still, I will definitely check it out, let's hope the 3D version is worth watching.
