David Fincher is a master filmmaker. He also keeps a tight rein over the promotion of his films, editing the trailers himself. This means that when a new trailer comes along, as it has today for his adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel Gone Girl, it is just incredible.
The film, which is penned by the author herself, is set to deviate from the plot of the book, but follow a man searching for his wife who mysteriously disappears on the day of their wedding anniversary.
Ben Affleck stars, alongside Rosamund Pike, with support from Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit and Emily Ratajkowski.
Gone Girl is out in cinemas on October 3rd.
