Rated R TV spot for Kimberly Peirce’s remake of Stephen King’s Carrie

Sony and Screen Gems has released the third TV spot for Kimberly Peirce’s remake of the Brian DePalma classic Carrie, based on the novel by Stephen King. This one focuses on the MPAA’s decision to classify the film as R for proper horror credentials.

The film follows troubled teen Carrie White, a high-school outcast struggling in this world that’s not helped by her devoutly religious mother.

Peirce has gathered a top-quality cast, with Chloe Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Alex Russell, Portia Doubleday, Ansel Elgort, and Gabriella Wilde featuring.

Carrie  is out in Ireland on November 29th.

A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
