The nominees for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, a.k.a. the BAFTAs, are in. There’s no real surprises amongst those nominated, save for the exclusion of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ Golden Globe winning soundtrack for The Social Network. The King’s Speech leads with 14 nominations, followed swiftly by Black Swan with 12, Inception with 9 and 127 Hours and True Grit with 8 apiece.
The Golden Globe big winner The Social Nomination has just 6 nominations but is a strong contender for all categories. Colin Firth is a lock for the Best Actor awards but some of the others should make for interesting viewing.
The awards will be held on February 13th, and aired on the BBC.
