The Weinstein Company has released the first poster for John Wells’ August: Osage County. As you can see there’s a bit of a family feud going on!
The film is an adaptation of Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning play of the same name, and is “a look at the lives of the strong-willed women of the Weston family, whose paths have diverged until a family crisis brings them back to the Oklahoma house they grew up in, and to the dysfunctional woman who raised them.”
Wells has assembled an Oscar calibre cast, with Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Margot Martindale, Chris Cooper, Dermot Mulroney, Juliette Lewis, Abigail Breslin, and Sam Shepard all featuring.
August: Osage County is out in the US on November 8th, with Ireland following on January 17th.
