Marion Cotillard to join Michael Fassbender on Assassin’s Creed

Deadline is reporting that Marion Cotillard is set to join Michael Fassbender in the New Regency and Ubisoft adaptation of best-selling computer game series Assassin’s Creed.

The film will see Cotillard join her Macbeth costar Fassbender, as well as director Justin Kurzel, so apparently they all got on quite well on that film, which is due out later this year.

The film is set to be the first of a franchise, with both Fassbender and Cotillard attached for 2 films. Fassbender is producing the film through his Northern Irish production company DMC Film, alongside Frank Marshall, Arnon Milchan, Jean-Julien Baronnet, Conor McCaughan, and Pat Crowley with financing from RatPac and Alpha Pictures.

Production will begin in autumn for a December 21, 2016 release.
