The Irish film Board backed animated short The Missing Scarf, from director Eoin Duffy, is set to be released online on September 29th.
The film is narrated by Star Trek’s George Takei, is a black comedy that explores some of life’s common fears: the fear of the unknown, of failure, rejection and finally of death.
The Missing Scarf has already won 16 international awards including at the San Francisco Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival, Valladolid Film Festival, as well as winning Best Animation at the New Hampshire Film Festival. At home it has also won at the Galway Film Fleadh, Cork Film Festival and the Foyle Film Festival.
In early 2014 it secured a place on the Academy Awards short animation shortlist, and screened in more than 300 cinemas in the US and Canada as a result.
The Missing Scarf will premiere via Shortoftheweek.com on September 29th.
