Red Room

#IrishFilm: Independent feature-length horror Red Room to begin principal photography this July

Independent feature-length horror Red Room is set to begin principal photography this July. Red Room marks Deep Web Films’ horror debut and is set to be the final chapter of director Stephen Gaffney’s Deep Web Trilogy – a collection of indie films which delve into the darkest corners of the world wide web.

The story tells of Kyra, Alison, and Lily; three girls snatched off the streets and taken to an isolated location. There they await their turn to enter the “Red Room”. The trio must attempt to escape their sadistic captors in this gory and suspenseful ode to cult classics such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Switchblade Romance.

Starring Amy Kelly (Red Rock), John D’alessandro (Class A, Cardboard Gangsters), Brian Fortune (Savage, Game of Thrones), Eddie Jackson (Game of Thrones, Normal), Justine O’Rourke (Class A), Alan Sherlock (Spiders Trap), Eoin Quinn (Limp., The Devil’s Woods), Sohaila Lindheim (Class A), Saoirse Doyle (Bully) and Martin O’Sullivan (Just Call Joel, Backroom), alongside Rodrigo Ternevoy and JP Albuquerque.

Co-written by Stephen Gaffney and Erica Keegan, Red Room is Deep Web Films’ first feature to have financial backing and promises to be a horror film like no other made before.

There are still post production costs to cover and a funding campaign will be launched in the coming days where backers can donate/invest in the project. This link will be found on Facebook along with a short promotional video made for initial financiers. The promo you can watch below.
