An Pointe Productions has released the quad poster for new Irish crime thriller Pursuit, from writer/director Paul Mercier (Studs). The film will premiere at IMC Tallaght on September 9th, with President Michael D. Higgins in attendance.

“Once upon a time, there was a princess who sang in the forest until she could sing no more. Her father was a king who was feared but never loved. And it made him angry. For it was Fionn, his appointed chief, who won the hearts of the people. It was Fionn who protected them from their enemies. It was he who roamed the forests, the mountains and the seas. And wherever Fionn went, he was never without his trusted warrior, Diarmuid…”

Pursuit features a strong cast of Irish actors, lead by Ruth Bradley (Grabbers, Humans) and Barry Ward (Jimmy’s Hall). They star alongside Liam Cunningham (Let Us Prey, Game of Thrones), Brendan Gleeson (Calvary), Owen Roe (Intermisson) David Pearse (Grabbers, The Guard), Don Wycherley (Ondine, Bachelors Walk), Dara Devaney (An Bronntanas), Dónall Ó Héalaí (My Name Is Emily), Ciarán O’Brien (Ripper Street), and Emmet Kirwan (Jack Taylor).

The film is written and directed by Paul Mercier, and produced by Anne Gately of An Pointe Productions. The project was driven by the BAI Sound and Vision Scheme, with additional funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, TV3, and Telegael. Cinematography comes from Billy Keady, with Production Designer by Ferdia Murphy. Costume Designer was Bláth Noone, while John Dunne provides the music.

Pursuit will be have its premiere in IMC Tallaght on September 9th, before being released in IMC cinemas on September 18th.The list of cinemas showing the film is as follows:
