Terry McMahon’s brilliant new Irish film Patrick’s Day ????? (currently playing in Irish cinemas) is taking to the European circuit in the next couple of weeks. As well as an appearance at the Irish Film Festa in Rome at the end of the month, it is set to play at the Sofia International Film Festival in Bulgaria next week, before playing in competition at the Prague International Film Festival one week later.
As well as Patrick’s Day the Sofia International Film Festival, March 5th to 29th, will also feature Vincent McEntee’s documentary Endure. That film sees two young Irish guys quit their jobs, pack their bags and set themselves a challenge – to cycle 26,000kms across 27 countries on five continents in 11 months.
Patrick’s Day is joined in the Czech Republic by smash-hit comedy Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie, John Boorman’s Queen and Country, and Cartoon Saloon’s Oscar nominated animation Song of the Sea. The Prague International Film Festival runs March 19th to 27th.
