#EndOfYear: Top 10 Films of 2016 at Light House Cinema by customer attendance

Films—we all have our favourites. It’s the time of year when film critics compile their top films of the year and this got the Light House Cinema thinking about their top films of 2016.

As always there’s a huge variety of wonderful films among the top films of the year. The Light House is particularly pleased to see that their top three films of the year are Irish. From Darren Thornton’s indie gem A Date For Mad Mary, a film that resonated so deeply with audiences that that they played it with great success for 13 weeks, to breakout musical delight Sing Street, and on to Lenny Abrahamson’s exquisite Oscar-winner Room, it’s so heartening to see Irish films of this calibre pleasing critics and audiences alike. It’s been yet another wonderful year for Irish talent.
