Irish Film: IFTA nominated Life's a Breeze now on Netflix

Netflix has announced that the IFTA nominated film Life’s A Breeze, written and directed by Lance Daly (Kisses, The Halo Effect) is now available to stream instantly on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.

Life’s A Breeze follows a family struggling to stay afloat and stay together through hard times in Ireland.  Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece Emma (Kelly Thornton) must overcome their many differences to lead their family in a race against time to find a lost fortune.

Newcomer Kelly Thornton, who won the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at last year’s Galway Film Fleadh has been nominated in the IFTA Best Actress category for her role as Emma, while veteran actress Fionnula Flanagan received a nomination as Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film.

Following on from its premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh last year, the film has screened at some of the world’s most important festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival and the Busan Film Festival in Korea.

During its theatrical release in Ireland and the UK it garnered praise.  Irish critics called Life’s a Breeze “the most heart-warming inter-generational comedy since ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ and Twitch.com hailed it as ‘”the next Full Monty”.

Life’s A Breeze is also available to buy from Tesco, Xtravision, HMV, Golden Discs, Tower Records and the IFI. It is available to buy on the Wildcard Distribution website now.
