White Washed Films has released the trailer for their latest film Kila: Pota Óir, a documentary and live film about one of Ireland’s most respected cult bands, Kíla, who merge trad, folk and contemporary music traditions into what the BBC World Review describes as a euphoric live experience.
Director Anthony White followed the band on tour, capturing performances over several shows ranging from the Tinahely Arts Centre in Wicklow to Dublin’s beloved Whelan’s, and the esteemed Cambridge Folk Festival.
Combining live footage, candid interviews and intimate backstage moments the film takes a mesmerising musical journey and a very personal look at one of Ireland’s greatest and most acclaimed live acts.
Kila: Pota Óir will play at Craicfest in New York and at the San Francisco Irish Film Festival on March 10th, at the Irish Film Festival London on March 18th, before screening in the IFI on March 29th.
