Irish film: New feature The Devil's Woods shooting in Meath

Great news for fans of Irish film as shooting is underway on new independent horror film The Devil’s Woods.

Written and directed by Anthony White the film is a unusual take on the ‘youth camp in the woods’ setting. The film is about a group of friends who are trying to maintain their fractured relationships. When they are placed in a truly horrendous situation, they must pull together for survival or be literally torn apart.

The film stars up and coming actor Stephen Cromwell who will soon appear on Irish screens in John Banville adaptation The Sea, alongside Ciaran Hinds. Cromwell has also featued in Jack Taylor, acclaimed TV drama Love/Hate and more recently Irish feature The Legend of Longwood. The film recently cast Eoin Quinn who put in a powerhouse performance in independent feature Limp which was released earlier this year. The feature also boasts a host of bright young Irish talent which includes multi award winning actress Aoife King.

The Devil’s Woods is set for completion summer 2014.
