Why So Serious? Presents Cult Comedy Classics – Galaxy Quest

Some of my best movie buds Why So Serious? are hosting the first in a series of cult comedy classics at the Grand Social this Wednesday evening. Curated and presented by Brogen Hayes (Movies.ie), Rory Cashin (Entertainment.ie), Mary Burke (Fingal Film Festival) and Brian Lloyd (Spin 103.8), they guys are going to screen some of the best comedy films you’ve probably never seen.

Kicking off with 1999’s sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest, starring Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Rockwell and Alan Rickman. The cast of a cult space-opera TV series are unexpectedly kidnapped by aliens and brought to their homeworld where they’re forced to play their on-screen roles for real. It’s all kinds of funny.

Best thing of all, this screening is FREE. That’s right. FREE.  Doors are at 7PM and screening starts at 8PM.

Be sure to check out the guys on YouTube where they present a great monthly guide to all things cinema.
