Omniplex Cinemas are cranking up a notch on nostalgia in a seasonal run of their popular #BringItBack classic film screenings, which continue to brighten up Monday nights in film theatres across Ireland. Promising some movie gems and Christmas crackers in the run up to the festivities, #BringItBack gives movie audiences the chance to experience some true classics make their full cinematic comeback on the big screen.
Omniplex Cinemas #BringItBack Christmas series begins with the 1984 comedy fantasy Gremlins on Monday, November 27th which tells the story of young man who receives a strange but cute little mogwai called Gizmo as a Christmas gift that comes with three conditions. When things go wrong, Gizmo spawns other destructive little creatures and a series of events see the gremlins unleashing havoc on Christmas Eve.
Miracle on 34th Street will light up the silver screen on the first Monday in December, a Christmas classic that sees Kris Kringle put on trial to prove his authenticity following his claims to be the real Santa Claus. Another Christmas Eve calamity ensues with action thriller Die Hard on Monday, December 11th followed by family favourite, Home Alone on December 18th, when Kevin McCallister outwits two conmen to protect his family home. Renowned crime dramaGoodfellas, regarded as one of the greatest mob films of all time, makes a comeback in a special event on Wednesday, December 27th, concluding the #BringItBack Christmas series.
#BringItBack sees some of the world’s most loved movies returning to Omniplex Cinemas, enhanced by the best in modern day cinema experiences – quality projection, state of the art sound technology and of course, the comfiest seats.
