Hollywood Star Richard Dreyfuss to attend Jameson Cult Film Club screening of Jaws on February 18th

To celebrate the 12th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, Richard Dreyfuss will attend an exclusive Jameson Cult Film Club screening of the 1975 Spielberg classic, Jaws on Tuesday 18th February. Guests will also be treated to a post screening Q&A with the Oscar winning actor which will be hosted by radio personality Rick O’Shea.

Following on from last year’s highly successful screenings of Predator, Die Hard, Intermission and LA Confidential, Jameson are kicking off the 2014 series of Jameson Cult Film Clubs with the iconic shark thriller, Jaws. This interactive screening promises to transport the audience right back to the sleepy holiday town of Amity and into the ‘jaws’ of this legendary killing machine for an unforgettable viewing experience. The venue, which is only revealed to ticket holders, will be completely transformed into a series of sets from the movie, while live theatre and special effects timed perfectly with on-screen action will help to create an electric atmosphere throughout the screening.

Speaking about the Jaws legacy, Richard Dreyfuss said
The fact is, when I first saw the film, it scared the hell out of me. To this day, I won’t walk off the beach into the water. I will however, scuba!

We are delighted that Richard Dreyfuss is joining us for the Jameson Cult Film Club screening of JAWS
, commented Fiona Carroll, Brand Manager Jameson Ireland, Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard.
The intention of the Jameson Cult Film Club is to deliver an unforgettable screening experience for all those who attend. Now in its 4th year, the Jameson Cult Film Club is bringing the experience on the road, with exciting plans for screenings in Cork and Galway in 2014.
Speaking about the screening, Festival Director Gráinne Humphreys said
Richard Dreyfuss is an iconic figure in American Cinema, contributing to such classics as American Graffiti, Close Encounters of a Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl and of course Jaws. He has always played men of passionate idealism and has brought curiosity and humour to his many screen roles. It’s an honour and delight to welcome him to Dublin for this exciting Jameson Cult Film Club screening
Following the Q&A, the party will continue in true Jameson style with DJ Aidan Kelly spinning sounds from John Williams’ spine-tingling score while guests enjoy a Jameson, Ginger and Lime.
