Light House Cinema is excited to be opening Joel and Ethan Coen’s brand new, star-studded comedy Hail, Caesar! from March 4th and to celebrate they are throwing a Golden-era Hollywood party on opening night in their bar.
Hollywood is, at the best of times; full of weird and wonderful characters – but through the lens of the Coen Brothers it’s downright lunacy!
Audiences are invited to come along in appropriately weird and wonderful costume inspired by the gobsmackingly gorgeously attired Hollywood sirens and sexpots of the past. There will be themed cocktails and era-specific music on the night, but it’s up to you to bring the glamour!
The party will kick off at 8.00pm and the Light House will be doing late screenings of the film so you’ll have time to enjoy a beverage and have a dance before the film kicks off at 10.30pm.
Four-time Oscar®-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, True Grit, Fargo) write and direct Hail, Caesar!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum, Hail, Caesar! follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix.
Hail, Caesar! opens in Irish Cinemas on March 4th. Tickets are available now.
The artists and designers of Blind Elephant Illustration Collective were invited to redesign posters of their favourite Coen Brothers’ films. The exhibition will be on show in the mezzanine area of the Lighthouse Cinema from the opening night of Hail Caesar! on March 4th, and will run until March 18th.
