Sony Pictures Ireland has sent us over some images from last night’s gala screening of Fury which took place in Vue Cinema, Liffey Valley.
There was a live satellite link up to the red carpet of the premiere screening at the London Film Festival in Leicester Square with full cast and Director David Ayer in attendance. Guests at the Dublin screening were escorted down the red carpet by re-enactors from the WWII Airsoft Community and the Irish Military War Museum who were dressed in authentic WWII uniforms.
The film takes place in the last few months of the war and follows a Sherman tank called “Fury” and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
Brad Pitt stars as a sergeant nicknamed Wardaddy, with Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood in support.
Fury is out in Ireland this Wednesday, October 22nd.
Fury is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
