#Event: Amy Huberman joins special guests for Fís TV Summit, November 8th

Amy Huberman joins the other leading names in the TV industry for the second annual Fís TV Summit which takes place in the G Hotel this Thursday.

Huberman is an IFTA winning actress working internationally as an actor and writer.  She has had two best-selling novels published with Penguin and has recently wrapped shooting on the forthcoming TV comedy series Finding Joy, which she also created and wrote, produced by Treasure Entertainment for RTÉ in Ireland and Acorn TV in the UK, and is due for release in late 2018. Huberman joins Rebecca O’Flanagan, Producer/Creator of Finding Joy for a panel discussion on the journey they took together to bring this project to fruition, ‘An exploration of the journey to ‘Finding Joy‘.

Guests include representatives from RTE, BBC, TG4 and Screen Ireland. The summit is a further acknowledgement of the vibrant TV industry here in the West of Ireland. Organised by Galway Film Centre, this one day summit plays host to international and national speakers exploring this year’s theme, Entertainment.  In just 2 years, FÍS TV Summit has become a key component in the UNESCO City of Film/Ceantar Scannán calendar.

Galway’s TV industry has grown exponentially over the last thirty years and employment continues to increase year on year.. This international summit is aimed at producers, directors, writers and content creators throughout Ireland. It will feature panel discussions with broadcasters, funders and creators who will share their invaluable experience and insight with attendees. The day will be interspersed with networking opportunities and one-to-one meetings for producers. Ireland’s TV sector continues to flourish with the addition of the WRAP Fund, which was announced at the inaugural TV summit.
