The annual international film and technology forum Digital Biscuit will take place in Dublin from the 20th to the 22nd of October 2016, with ticket sales for the event now on sale. The three-day event aims to foster innovation and collaboration in film, television and screen production.
In its fourth year, Digital Biscuit will bring the most creative and innovative minds in the film and technology industry together for a festival of ideas and events. This year, it will be held at Dublin’s Odeon Point Village and the event is quickly becoming a global networking hub for the world’s leading filmmakers, technologists, creatives and the wider industry. Previous speakers have included David Yates, director of the Harry Potter series, David Chase, creator of The Sopranos, and Michel Gondry, director of Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, amongst many others.
This is an event like no other before it, a festival to celebrate and promote the incredible creativity in film and technology that exists in Ireland and internationally. Digital Biscuit will bring together the best and brightest creative talent from across the globe to share their experiences, insights and foster collaboration in the industry. We aim to provide a platform to showcase Ireland and our incredible film and creative culture and its fusion with technology to the world’s leading innovators in the industry. We chose the name ‘Digital Biscuit’ to represent our festival because it is best enjoyed when shared with others and in bite-sized chunks. The best creative projects are made with a mix of diverse ingredients and as a super collaboration among people. With Digital Biscuit, we aim to completely rethink how meaningful global connections can be made between people and how this can present real solutions for screen production. This year’s programme is our biggest and most ambitious to date, and in our new home in the Odeon Point Village we will host an incredible six stages and a massive exhibition area with screenings taking place throughout the day and tonnes of interesting interactive projects, including for the first time mentoring and networking sessions. We have had incredible speakers at Digital Biscuit over the past three years and aim to bring a similar calibre of leaders together for the 2016 event.
