This Wednesday, June 19th at 5:30pm, the Instituto Cervantes in Dublin will host a free screening of Spanish comedy Born to Suffer in Pearse Street Library.
Screened at CineCafé Club, this hilarious and romantic movie tells the story of old single woman Flora. After caring for her parents and her three orphan nieces, the time comes for Flora (Petra Martínez) to be looked after. Alone in a small town, she can only trust Purita (Adriana Ozores), her neighbour who feels more like family than her own blood. This film, who was a candidate for the Goya Awards (the most important Spanish Cinema Awards) in twenty categories, was also screened in Berlinale Panorama Section.
Organised by Instituto Cervantes Dublin in partnership with Pearse Street public library, CineCafé Club offers a diverse range of Spanish films with English Subtitles with free admission.
The screening takes place at Pearse Street Library – 138-144 Pearse Street. Dublin 2.
