October’s ‘Book to Screen’ film is, very appropriately, Hammer Horror’s ‘Dracula’ starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.  This screening will be preceded by a screening of Irish short, ‘Suanscéal’ by Opus Eile. The film’s director Colm Ó Foghlú will be in attendance on the day to introduce the short.

SUANSCÉAL le Opus Eile – ‘Suanscéal’ is a visually beautiful and delicately told tale of a young boy’s need for companionship and an old man’s need to leave his legacy. Don’t miss this very special opportunity to see new short film ‘Suanscéal’, written and directed by Colm Ó Foghlú.  This short will be screened in advance of the monthly film club screening for ‘The Pictures’, as part of Borradh Buan, axis’ unique Irish language festival, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
