Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB), the development agency for the Irish film, television and animation industry has announced the appointment of Cian McElhone, who will join the agency’s Business Affairs team in the position of Business Affairs Manager.
As a media lawyer in Philip Lee, one of the largest and most active film and television practices in the Irish market, McElhone has worked on a wide range of projects across feature film, animation, and TV including The Secret Scripture, The Lobster, My Name is Emily, Bridget & Eamon, Ripper Street, The Hallow, Kiva Can Do, The Day Henry Met and The Young Offenders to name but a few.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Teresa McGrane, the Business Affairs Manager at the IFB will be responsible for a substantial amount of the IFB’s contracting requirements across all projects and expenditure initiatives and will be the key point contact for companies contracting with the IFB.
