Principal photography wraps on Irish/Danish co-production Fuglene Over Sundet (Birds Across The Strait)

Principal photography wrapped earlier this week on a new Irish/Danish co-production Fuglene Over Sundet (Birds Across The Strait), after filming at locations in Dublin and Wicklow.

Fuglene Over Sundet is the true story of events in Denmark during the first days of October 1943. Through a series of linked events, the Jewish population was given warning to get out of the country before the Nazis rounded them up to be sent to concentration camps. The Danish population, without any political influence, and at great personal risk, organised transports to sail Jews out of Copenhagen and North Sealand to safety in neighbouring Sweden. The operation became legendary worldwide, as nearly 7000 Jews sailed to safety in fishing and rowing boats, under the cover of darkness.
